School hours in two Punjab districts were extended and it was announced that 50 percent attendance will continue until February 15. Provincial Minister Murad Rass wrote on the social networking site Twitter that a notification of 50 percent attendance in schools has been issued until January 31. In Lahore and Rawalpindi, 50 per cent attendance will be observed up to the sixth grade. Classes 7 to 12 will maintain the old schedule.
Earlier, the spread of Corona in the country once again sounded the alarm; the rate of positive cases was recorded at 11.92% during the last 24 hours. The coronavirus killed 30 people, bringing the death toll to 29,192. The number of confirmed Corona cases in Pakistan has reached 1.42 million.
Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras's important tweet on public and private school hours in Lahore and Rawalpindi districts reads as follows: "In all public and private schools in Lahore and Rawalpindi districts, the 50% of students through sixth grade will be called to school. Murad Raas said that people and institutions must ensure the implementation of the Corona SOPs as much as possible. According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 8,183 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
