The labor welfare commissioner for the mines, the Mines Labour Welfare Commissioner Punjab Scholarship.applications can be submitted for students enrolled in classes from elementary to master's programs. The Mining Welfare Commissioner's Office will pay an annual stipend to students. The scholarship application can be submitted for a maximum of two children per family.

    Punjab Mines Welfare Commission Scholarship Yearly Stipend

    • A yearly stipend will be paid to the students according to the following:
    • Class 1 to 5: PKR: 1200/-
    • Class 6 to 8: PKR: 15000/-
    • Class 9-10: PKR: 18,000/-
    • Class 11-12: PKR: 24,000/-
    • Graduate: BA/BSc/B.Com (14 years) - Day Scholars: PKR: 30,000/-
    • Graduate: BA/BSc/B.Com (14 years) - Boarder: PKR: 40,000/-
    • Postgraduate/Masters/BS/BBA/Medical/Engineering - Day Scholars: PKR: 60,000/-
    • Postgraduate/Masters/BS/BBA/Medical/Engineering - Boarder: PKR: 80,000/-

    Eligibility Criteria for the Punjab Mining Welfare Commissioner Scholarship

    1. The worker must meet the following criteria:
    2. A person is qualified as a miner if he meets the definition of a worker as defined in the Industrial and Commercial Mining Employment Ordinance of 1968, is registered with the EOBI, and has a minimum of 3 years of employment.
    3. However, there is no length of employment requirement for categories 1, 2 and 3.
    4. Those who are not registered with EOBI can present an Affidavit certified by a Notary Public and the respective assistant to the commissioner of labor welfare of mines with their complete data.
    5. Children of deceased / disabled workers are also eligible to apply for this scholarship
    6. Students studying at Mines Labor Labor Welfare Organization / Punjab Worker Welfare Board Schools are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
    7. Students who benefit from scholarships from the worker welfare board are also not eligible to apply.
    8. Students in prep and nursery classes are not eligible.
    9. Retired workers who receive a pension from EOBI are eligible.

    How to Apply for the Punjab Scholarship from the Labor Welfare Commissioner of Mines.

    Application forms can be obtained from the offices of the mineworking officer in Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Khushab, D.G Khan and Multan. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidates must submit the following set of documents together with their admission application form at the time of admission:

    • CNIC of the miner.
    • Social Security card for the worker / miner / Old-age benefit card.
    • Certified copy of the worker's firm card or letter of appointment.
    • CNIC / Family Registration Certificate issued by NADRA of the future student.
    • In the case of a deceased / disabled worker / miner, proof of receipt of a death grant / disability pension must be provided.
